One/two Day Tour:

To begin with one day or two day tour is too less, for a destination like Udaipur. You can’t think of covering the other major tourist destinations in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. You can only visit City palace and Fatehsagar in two days, because in the peak season there is lot of rush in all the major tourist hotspots. We suggest following options for a short duration tour:

  • City palace and Fatehsagar
  • City palace and Monsoon palace
  • Fatehsagar, Monsoon palace and Bagore-ki-haveli.

Three/Four days Tour

Three to four days is a decent duration for in-city locations in Udaipur. You can visit all the major city locations in Udaipur like:

First day: Boat ride in Pichola Lake and to Jagmandir. City palace museum and crystal gallery.
Second day:  Visit Monsoon palace and enjoy the twilight at Fatehsagar.

Third day: Visit Jagdish mandir, Sahashra Bahu temple and spend the evening enjoying Dharohar performance in Bagore-ki-haveli.
Forth day: Visit Eklingji and go for shopping in Hathipole and Surajpole markets. Don’t forget to try Rajasthani thali at some of the well-known restraunts.

Fifth/Sixth day Tour

If you are planning a five and six day tour than apart from the in-city of locations, you will get ample amount of time to visit famous locations in the vicinity of Udaipur : Nathdwara,Ranakpur, Rajsamand lake and Dwakadhish temple. If you are a selfie freak than don’t forget to get yourself clicked on the Bahubali hills.

Week-long Tour

If you plan to spend a complete week in Udaipur than you can opt to visit Mount Abu also which is situated in the lap of the Aravalli’s. This would take you around 3hours 9mins(167km) from Udaipur. You can visit Ranakpur temple on the way, the scenic view of the ghati(valley) makes your travel all the more engaging. Feel the fresh air of the mountains blush through your face. You can also travel to Kumhalgarh fort, to get yourself wrapped in the clouds.

Few Do’s and don’t

  • We will advise you to wear comfortable footwear so that you can walk for long distances if required.
  • Don’t feed the wild animals, especially monkeys.
  • Carry water if you are travelling to distant locations.
  • Petrol driven cars are better for better pick up in hilly locations.
  • Also check the condition of the vehicle before hiring it for out-station locations.

Best time to visit Udaipur: September to March

You should visit Rajasthan at least once in your lifetime, because the more you travel the more you will realize “What you would have missed otherwise”. You don’t have to find locations to get yourself clicked when you are in Rajasthan, rather you just have to carry a good camera rest is plenty.
